SATAWU WELCOMES THE TERMINATION OF TNPA CHIEF EXECUTIVE
The South African Transport and Allied Workers Union (SATAWU) welcomes the termination of employment agreement between Transnet and its National Ports of Authority (TNPA) Chief Executive, Pepi Silinga. SATAWU does not wish to comment further on this matter as the state- owned entity has not appointed the new Chief Executive. However, Adv Phyllis Difeto will continue to act in the position.
The union remains committed to transparency, accountability and implementation of strategic projects within the state-owned entity, but most importantly our focus is on our members and workers at TNPA.
The South African Transport and Allied Workers Union is willing and prepared to work with anyone that shares the same values and principles with us, that includes empowering our members and workers, improving working conditions and improving TNPA.
